What You'll Do
As a HomeWell Caregiver, you'll provide personalized, non-medical support to seniors and individuals who want to remain safely and comfortably at home.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and conversation
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with walking, mobility, and transfers
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Running errands or providing transportation when applicable
- Helping with everyday activities
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Following the client's individualized care plan
- Communicating with the office regarding client needs or concerns
Most importantly, you'll help our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
The Caregiver We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and punctual
- Compassionate and patient
- Professional and respectful
- A good communicator
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to follow instructions and care plans
- Physically able to perform caregiver duties
- Committed to providing quality care
- Someone who understands that being present, engaged, and dependable matters
We want caregivers who show up ready to work, treat clients with kindness and respect, and understand the importance of being someone our clients and their families can count on.
Qualifications
- CNA or HHA certification preferred, OR
- At least 1,000 hours of caregiving experience
- Approximately 6 months full-time or 12 months part-time experience caring for seniors or individuals with chronic illnesses
Exceptions may be considered for:
- Newly licensed CNAs, HHAs, or PCAs
- Individuals with family caregiving experience
- Companionship and housekeeping-only positions
Additional Requirements
- Current TB test
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle if transporting clients
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to meet applicable state and federal requirements
